Circle Boring & Machine

The assembly shown above is for the G0 (G Zero) experiments being done at the University Of Illinois at Urbana in cooperation with over 80 physicists from around the world.   The unit is for research on the quark and nucleon particles of the atom. 

Circle Boring machined eight  large precision bobbin assemblies that superconductor magnet coils are wrapped around.  They are located under the radial "spokes" seen in the picture above.  For more pictures showing our part in this project click the link directly below.
